Ceasefire that Continues the Concrete Step Toward Toward Hope for Syria

The rebels in the Syrian Peace talks in Switzerland keep demanding that President Bashar al-Assad step down and the government side says no way, but things are starting to be achieved despite this impasse. Prisoners are being listed for a prisoner exchange and the government unilaterally has agreed to let women and children leave the besieged city of Homs.

A ceasefire is looming at some point. Small ceasefires have been in place at times locally,

If a ceasefire happens between the Syrian Governments and the moderates then the al Qaeda inspired and King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia heavily supported Wahhabi rebels will continue to fight. These rebels have been extremely brutal and few noticed but after a declared ceasefire many more will. Please look at the following site,

When others fighters are taking part in a ceasefire, this will make the extremists stand out and finally international efforts might take place to pressure King Abdullah to stop or at least limit his support for Sunni rebels around the world.

Iran is no longer making bellicose statements, Hassan Rouhani the new President of Iran keeps getting more conciliatory. Actually Ahmadinejad I think never really wanted to attack Israel just lobby Shiite Muslims to feel solidarity with Shiites.

The US in the past with its so called war against terror inadvertently helped al Qaeda spread its ideas by succeeding in getting more moderate Muslims mad at the US. Working with countries like Iran rather than against countries that really understand the Arab world would be a step in the right direction.

The Cold War gridlock is a thing of the past, the UN Security Council is working together toward solutions with Iran, Syria and elsewhere. A future world where humans solve our human problems is becoming doable.

Maybe cheering is premature but enclosed is a link cheering the improvements,
