Torture Apologists are Not Americans

But the Eighth Amendment prohibits the federal government from imposing excessive bail, excessive fines, or cruel and unusual punishments "including torture."

Although I am not even a lawyer, I know that and am surprised that a Supreme Court Justice wouldn't.

Apologists for torture like Scalia and Dick Cheney believe that the subject is very complicated, when actually it's one of the few issues in American discourse-- maybe the only one-- that isn't.

Very simply, people who justify torture are not Americans.
