The Trumpism Cult Is Like a  Political Scientology

I have  discerned  direct parallels between Trumpism and Scientology.  Both are cults  with a blind allegiance to a great con artist who invents an alternate reality for  them to inhabit, and uses  a strange invented vocabulary to isolate its followers  from the rest of the world.

Trumpism:

Deep State Conspiracy.

Fake News in Media.

Climate Science Denial.

Scientology:

We are Thetans who  have  been reincarnated on other planets  over seven trillion years.

We need  Processing with an electric machine to rid ourselves of Engrams, which are traumas  from those interplanetary incarnations.

The Non-Germ Theory of Disease states we make ourselves sick with bad thoughts.

In both cases,  followers  blindly  adhere to  complete nonsense as important  truth and are loyally devoted to  the con artist.  And in both cases they  stick with the cult for years and  cannot be pried loose  by appeals to fact and reason.
