To the Hunt Family;


In an era of declining or nonexistent family values, I am reinvigorated by your exhibition of the most important family value of all; to stand by your kids no matter what. None of us (of course) know Kaitlyn, but I feel if we did, our lives would be that much better.

I heartily wish there were a way that the girls could be whisked away to some happy place and be together to sort this out, but this is unrealistic. Whether we agree or not, her GFF's parents DO have a say in this...at least for another year or so. I imagine you have tried very hard to reach out to them in some way to seek a peaceful resolution; unfortunately now the Law is involved, and they cannot back off without orders from the DA. What scares me most is that if Kaitlyn is convicted of this, she will have to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life; unless she renounced her citizenship and left the USA...I sincerely doubt that she would want to do that.

As I've stated in previous posts, I would gladly help the girls seek asylum in a more tolerant state (California is nice) but that would mean an upheaval that would eclipse the current situation. I hope the DA (or AG) comes to see the sense in dropping these charges...even after that, however, it will be 'hands off, no contact' for the girls until she reaches majority status...these charges could easily be refiled by her parents should contact occur.
