Abandoning our collective soul we sought rebirth and rejuvenation
Descending into a dearth of heart and brain dead from misinformation

He grew in status ,using the power starved media to provide the spark
A talking head risen from the dead surfaced out of the political dark
And no schism atwixt leadership and narcissistic bigotry that's stark
So confused we chose to lose by selecting him on a ruse and a lark

Flash of the TV strobe, reveal the xenophobe,an American whose white
Bombs away, keep immigrants at bay, export them in the dark of night
Collect and sent them back to depravity on a one way boat
The nation's great again,they're in a pen,just the perfect scapegoat

They work hard but burn their green card; it's better if it's quicker
Nix the confederate flag and affix to ours an indelible swastika
In this Anglo Ku Klux land make a stand, everywhere it can be draped
Kill the white elephant,the criminal element;your girl won't be raped

Your job is threatened by Mexicans, they caused this consternation
May they be framed, they bear the mark of Cain it's no discrimination
My trick rhetoric will quicken fear and inspire self-preservation
Neglect to tell the private hell from outsourcing by corporation

Yet Dr. Frank and Hitler had success albeit twisted and rank
Donald avoids failure financial with bail out plans to thank
Overspending shows he's trending yet still has millions in the bank
As a Republican, if he get's in, he'll be rich as we get the shank

We'll see through Donald past the sewing of his suit of fine thread
With diverse nation well versed in the sanctity of fellowship instead
Find solutions not tear the Constitution turning equality on its head
Its from a government of, for, and by the people that we will be led

A guy named Bernie dad's made a journey to his country without a dime
The son won favor with working class values from his dad over time
Sanders demands all earned from low,middle, and rich pay their share
Getting rich scratching the green itch is about which all you care.
