Momma Said...

Comments I’ve heard from blatantly naïve individuals, when discussing persons ingrained or instilled within political arenas, (regardless at what level of governance), often include descriptions based on statements similar to: “They’ve always treated me nicely”, or, “There seem to be a nice person”, or, “They always speak to me”. Those comments reflect not an accurate portrayal of the political person under discussion. The political person under discussion or scrutiny has a better than average chance of being: a completely irresponsible, uninformed, puppet of propaganda or higher political manipulation, sycophant.

These naïve individuals who thoughtlessly provide indirect support to these malfeasant political figures are advocates of the outdated cliché: “If you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t say anything” school of thought taught by the last generation of parents and grandparents. Any such support provided to those types of political personages is a travesty of justice and is grossly misplaced.

Our country – at every level of governance – is being manipulated and systematically stomped-on by smiling, hand-shaking backstabbers, who through their superficial congenial mannerisms and outward pleasantries have duped the voter into believing they are “nice”, and based on nothing more than such gesticulation, are therefore deserving of political office. As a collective group, these political individuals are the RepubTeacan Party.

This is no longer the 20th Century. This is no longer the political-business-as-usual fare. We are living in a 21st Century era where political conservative lies, their twisted propaganda, and self-serving, anti-middle class/anti-union malfeasance is actually engaged in a slow assassination of democracy – and much of the votes that enabled it, have come from the politically naïve “They’ve-always-been-nice-to-me” crowd. That naiveté is helping drive that assassination attempt.

Unfortunately, we’ll never reverse the mindset of the politically naïve – because they will never abandon their stance ... and the reasoning they will use will invariably be: “Because that’s what my Momma always taught me”. They will refuse to examine the fact that “Momma” was politically naïve, too.

Sadly, God will have to intervene, because, to date, the Democrats obviously aren’t going to.
