It wasn’t supposed to be like this.

America and her allies had won World War II. We had defeated those who wanted the rule our world, the ones who wanted all the power, all the money, all the prestige.

According to the 1950 televisions shows everything was supposed to end up just like WWII had - with everyone happy, and smiling, with laughter and music surrounding us all. The healing of war wounds would last ... forever.

Now, just over 70 years after the end of WWII, the former most powerful country in the world is going into insolvency, bankrupt – with no unity of purpose, no sense at all of “one-ness”, no sense of the needs of our fellow citizens. The corporation is more important than the people.

We are a divided people – the haves and the have nots; the gluttonous and the moderates; red and blue.

Hate abounds, and is nurtured and broadcast incessantly over airwaves, in order to assure the divisiveness persists and is escalated.

This isn’t America. This isn’t the country that Easy Company of the 10st Airborne, and “Band of Brothers” fame fought, bled and died to protect from the very ideology that has taken over our country.

No ... it wasn’t supposed to be this way.

There is a portion of our countrymen who have been seduced by Greed. They have fallen victim to material desires, fame and lust for power, and are using it to fulfill their own covetous desires.

Their victory will be hollow, for their winning is the loss of every American ideal, ever American belief held by those who, from their first footprints on the shores at Plymouth Rock … to those in the sand of Iraq.

There is no honor in Greed, no redemption in profits, no salvation in avarice.

Jobs before budgets. Families before profits. Truth before lies and fabrications.

Until Americans become totally united again, bound together by the common needs of all, without prejudice of race, creed, social, monetary or spiritual choice, there will be no United States of America ever again.

Those who orchestrated the political division of our people based on lies, fabrications and miscreant behavior for the purpose of attaining corporate power and money have succeeded in the demise of The United States of America.

They do not understand what they’ve done – for their Greed veils all else.

It wasn’t supposed to be this way.

But ... it is.
